Which platforms does Clash Light support?

Clash Light is a desktop application supporting Windows x64, with planned support for macOS Apple Silicon and macOS Intel.

When a macOS DMG on the download page shows "Coming Soon", the corresponding installer has not been officially uploaded yet.

Does Clash Light come with a default subscription?

No. When you first open the app, there is no default subscription. You need to add your own subscription URL, then enable the subscription and turn on the system proxy.

Where are subscription and node info stored?

Clash Light does not actively collect or upload your data. Subscription URLs, node info, current selection, ports, and control keys are all stored locally on your machine. For more details, see the Privacy Policy.

What happens when I turn on the system proxy?

The app launches the built-in mihomo and sets the desktop system proxy to the local port. When you turn off the proxy or exit the app, it attempts to clean up the system proxy and stop mihomo. For visual reference, see the Features page.

What if a port is already in use?

On startup, the app checks commonly used local ports. If the default port is unavailable, it switches to an available one to reduce startup failures.

How do I update the app?

You can check for new versions on the "About" page. When a new version is found, the app displays update info and opens the download entry. Clash Light never downloads or executes installers in the background — you need to manually visit the download page to get the installer and overwrite the old version.

Should I download EXE or MSI on Windows?

We recommend most users download the NSIS EXE installer. MSI is suitable for Windows environments that require MSI-based distribution.
