Clash Light is a local-first desktop proxy client. The app does not require registration or login, and does not provide a cloud-sync account system. You may also want to check the Features page to understand how the app handles system proxy, subscriptions, and nodes.

Locally Stored Information

To establish proxy connections and restore usage state, the app stores the following information locally:

  • Subscription URLs.
  • Node metadata and the currently selected node.
  • Local ports, controller address, and control key.
  • App configuration such as system proxy toggle state.

This information is used for local functionality only and is never actively collected or uploaded by the Clash Light official site.

Network Requests

The app may make the following network requests:

  • Fetch subscription content from the subscription URLs you add.
  • Perform latency tests or connectivity tests on nodes.
  • Request version JSON files under https://dl.clashlight.org/releases/ to check for new versions.
  • Open https://clashlight.org or the download page.

Subscription services, node services, and download hosting services may maintain their own logs and privacy policies.

System Proxy

When the proxy is enabled, the app sets the desktop system proxy to the local address. When the proxy is disabled or the app exits and cleans up, it attempts to restore the system proxy state.
